SALISBURY, N.C. (WBTV) – Wade Furches’ interim finance director title is formally a permanent just one. Nowadays, Salisbury Metropolis Supervisor W. Lane Bailey named Furches the city’s finance director after 1 month in the interim purpose.
Furches is a 23-year veteran of the Metropolis of Salisbury, joining the firm in 1998 as an accounting supervisor. He was promoted to finance manager in 2006 exactly where he managed the day-to-day economic functions, basic ledger maintenance, accounts payable, payroll and the City’s investment portfolio.

Prior to his tenure with Salisbury, Furches was a staff members accountant with Sherrill and Smith CPAs, responsible for auditing and preparing fiscal statements, corporate and specific tax returns and undertaking all basic accounting capabilities for the firm’s consumers. He also served as direct auditor for audits of 6 municipalities.
Furches holds a bachelor’s degree from Catawba Higher education, is a Certified General public Accountant (CPA) and a Qualified Regional Governing administration Finance Officer.
