LONDON, Aug 9 (Reuters) – London’s well-known Tower Bridge obtained caught in its open up posture for the second time in a year thanks to a complex fault on Monday, major to tail-backs of highway targeted visitors trying to cross the River Thames.

The bridge, which enables boats to move underneath by increasing the highway which crosses it, got stuck soon in advance of 2:45pm (1345 GMT), a spokeswoman for the Metropolis of London law enforcement drive said.

Given that 1976, the bridge’s two arms, or bascules, have been operated by engines run by oil and electricity, changing the authentic steam-powered types that dated again to the 19th century.

“Thanks to a complex situation, Tower Bridge is at present stuck in a raised placement,” a spokesman for the City of London Corporation, which owns the bridge, reported. “We are doing the job to solve the situation as immediately as possible.”
