Ohio mask mandate lifted, what do enterprise owners assume about it?

Matthew McBride, Spoon Market and Deli general manager, and Jordan Smith, owner, are conflicted over lifting the mask mandate citing potential customer concerns.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine sent a shock wave through the company neighborhood Wednesday when he declared he would conclusion the state’s mask mandate on June 2.

The mandate requires people today to mask up indoors and exterior if they can not maintain a 6-foot length. Masks also are expected in educational institutions, and dining places, bars and retail stores should retain social distance.

Even though this is welcomed news for a lot of company house owners, some are conflicted.

“We’re fearful from a purchaser standpoint,” claimed Jordan Smith, operator of the Spoon Market and Deli in Wooster. “Do they feel snug not wearing a mask, and how will we be perceived if we will not demand masks?”
