Port Houston is reopening its two most significant community container terminals to industrial vehicles just after closing them Tuesday owing to a laptop or computer components failure.
“Bayport and Barbours Slice Container Terminals are planning to open [Thursday] at 3 p.m. to truck website traffic. Check back for one more update shortly about final gate operation conclusions,” port officials tweeted Thursday.
Port of Houston Executive Director Roger Guenther stated the port seasoned a “major failure of the storage products that help all applications made use of to run both of those Barbours Slash and Bayport container terminals” prior to opening Tuesday at 7 a.m., in accordance to a letter posted on the port’s web-site on Wednesday.
