Russia has appointed Gen. Alexander Dvornikov, who commands Russia’s southern armed forces district and “has a good deal of working experience” from “Russian functions in Syria,” to oversee the war in Ukraine, a Western official claimed Friday, in accordance to BBC.
The Russian intervention in Syria was notoriously brutal, and foreign policy analyst Rula Jebreal claimed Dvornikov’s appointment very likely alerts an “expansion” of Russia’s “terror campaign” against Ukraine.
This reorganization comes just after Russia’s military services withdrew from the Kyiv region, owning failed to consider the funds. Observers count on these Russian models to be redeployed to japanese Ukraine.
