William R. Brown Jr., productive in finance
William R. Brown Jr., 80, of Lewes passed absent Sunday, July 25, 2021. He was born June 22, 1941, in Warsaw, Va., son of the late W.R. and Virginia Brown.
Monthly bill graduated from Strayer University in Washington, D.C. with degrees in accounting and economic administration. He concluded the Application for Executives in State and Area Governing administration at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy University of Govt and acquired accreditation from the Association of Authorities Accountants as a Accredited Government Economical Supervisor. His distinguished occupation spanned about 40 several years in governmental finance and included positions in the Point out of Maryland as controller for Anne Arundel County, director of finance for the Town of Baltimore and director of finance for Prince George’s County.
He served on the boards of the Maryland Stadium Authority, Baltimore Growth Corporation, Baltimore Markets Company, and the Maryland Regional Governing administration Insurance policy Trust and Municipal Employees’ Credit score Union. He was also the previous president of the Maryland Govt Finance Officers’ Association.
The U.S. Comptroller of the Currency presented him with the Association of Governing administration Accountants’ Distinguished Management Award in recognition of sustained exceptional management in governmental financial administration in 1983.

Preparations for cremation are with Parsell Funeral Dwelling and Crematorium, Lewes. A Memorial Services celebrating a daily life effectively lived will be held at a afterwards date.
