Olga N. Weider appointed as university assistant vice president and treasurer – News
Olga Weider has been chosen to serve the Finance and Accounting division as the very first woman Assistant Vice President and University Controller at the College of Florida.
Olga joined the University Finance and Accounting division in 2017 as an Assistant Controller with auxiliary accounting. Below her management, the auxiliary group expanded its expert services, acting in an advisory capacity to auxiliaries and support centers throughout campus on procedural and compliance issues and collaborating with models to ensure good stewardship of the University’s means. She was promoted to a Senior Affiliate Controller, main payroll and tax products and services, basic accounting and fiscal reporting, and auxiliary accounting, giving core money solutions to the College of Florida group.
Olga joined the workforce with considerable and broad-ranging former knowledge as a Controller for Zoo Tampa, a 63-acre nonprofit zoo and conservation center for endangered wildlife. She is a Qualified Interior Auditor, a Certified General public Accountant in Colorado, and a member of the Institute of Interior Auditors. Prior to Zoo Tampa, Olga’s prior knowledge was in community accounting centered on governmental, not-for-gain, and health care parts. Olga graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida and is at present pursuing an MBA by Louisiana Condition College, class of 2022.
